“Rodeo Drive” Style Up To 50% Below
Retail!
Our inventory is the “dollars” we buy
and lend with, not the collateral or
jewelry itself. Therefore, we are
anxious to convert the jewelry back into
dollars. This is an incredible buying
opportunity for you!
Many of our items are purchased by
wholesalers, ending up in posh jewelry
stores on famous “Circles, Avenues and
Drives,” for thousands more. However,
other watches and pieces end up on the
wrists, ears, fingers and necks of
shoppers savvy enough to visit our
showroom and purchase magnificent
jewelry at prices typically 30 – 50%
below retail. That’s a big savings when
you’re dealing with name brands such as
Rolex, Cartier, Breitling, David Yurman,
Tiffany & Co. and other top name
designers.
We feature one of the Southeast’s
largest selections of new and pre-owned
fine watches and fine jewelry. Unlike
other jewelry stores, we own every piece
of jewelry we sell, and ONLY the best is
featured in our showroom! This is
important for you to know, since you may
be shopping various websites. Many
stores, for instance, put a picture of a
watch or jewelry item on their website,
and if someone places an order, the
company then turns around and purchases
it. That is not our way of doing
business.
Our inventory changes frequently. What
you can’t find today may appear in the
showcase tomorrow. Due to our
established network and reach throughout
the country, if you share with us the
type of watch, diamond, or piece of
jewelry you are looking for, there’s an
excellent chance we can get it for you
at a surprisingly low price.
Either come by our store or visit our
on-line collection
www.rappaportjewelrybuyers.com for
on-line shopping. Every item on this
website is in our store. Thus, when you
place your order, we can ship it out to
you the same day. We also offer you a
risk-free 15-day, cash-back guarantee,
no questions asked!

Commonly
Asked Questions
How
do you compute your offers?
Our growth is a function of knowing
the products we are buying and
paying the highest possible prices.
Paying outright high prices is
achieved by using our extensive
market place of nationwide buyers
who have our confidence. Please keep
in mind we know we must be extremely
competitive if we expect to purchase
from our clients. Our goal is to
make you happy and keep you as a
customer!
Do you pay more for famous
designer jewelry?
Yes. Famous designer jewelry stands
the test of time. Usually their
designs are classic and in demand
worldwide.
What type of jewelry are you most
interested in?
Happy Hocker is most interested in
buying mid and high value jewelry
that is in good taste and resalable.
Do you buy any make and model
watch?
No. Please visit the watch page of
our on-line collection for
information on the watch brands we
purchase:
www.rappaportjewelrybuyers.com
When I send my watch to Happy
Hocker, should I send the original
box, papers, manuals and any extra
links?
Yes, absolutely. This will add extra
value to your watch, as the next
owner will want as complete a
package as possible.
Can you tell me what my watch is
worth?
When possible, we will provide you a
preliminary quote if you call or
fill out our request form. This
quote will contain a price range as
there are many variables that must
be considered that pertain to
condition, rarity and desirability.
How is your check delivered to me?
Checks are mailed in a first class
security envelope and mailed daily.
Please allow 3-5 business days for
delivery.
Can I get overnight payment?
Yes. As you probably know, overnight
carriers must have a physical
address to deliver to. A post office
box is not sufficient.
Do I have to own the items I am
selling?
Yes. You must be the owner of the
items possessing full and complete
title thus enabling you to conduct
business with Happy Hocker Pawn.
Is it absolutely safe to send my
items through the mail?
Yes. Your items travel registered
insured through the U.S. Postal
system and the package is signed for
during the entire process until it
reaches its destination at Happy
Hocker Pawn.
How do I know I will get the best
market prices?
It is obvious that Happy Hocker Pawn
must make a profit when providing
our service. However, we work on a
conservative profit margin to keep
our competitive edge. If you need
assurance of our high price offers,
we recommend that you obtain other
offers from local buyers prior to
sending your items.
Can you give me an exact price
before seeing an item?
That is just not possible. There are
too many variables that affect
values. Also, Happy Hocker Pawn must
physically inspect each item to
formulate our offer. We are willing
to extend preliminary offers pending
final inspection. The reality
remains that jewelry and diamonds
must be seen in person to make an
accurate determination.
How do I get paid?
Happy Hocker Pawn pays the same day
we purchase the item as long as the
transaction is concluded by 3:00
p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The
extra two business hours allow our
accounting department to finalize
its daily activities. If the
transaction is concluded after 3:00
p.m., then we will mail your check
the next day either by U.S. mail or
an overnight carrier. On larger
purchases, bank wires are available.
Are my items safe and insured
while in your possession?
Yes. Items are stored safely in
appropriate vaults in all
departments. Non-Happy Hocker Pawn
employees are not permitted in our
offices for any reason. All
employees have had extensive
background checks prior to
engagement. Happy Hocker Pawn has
video and central station alarm
status and your items are always
within this environment.
Do I speak directly with your
appraisers about my item(s)?
Yes. The appraiser assigned to your
item(s) will discuss with you our
findings and pricing offers. He or
she will share opinions and options
while leaving you with the final
decision of whether or not you would
like to sell. If you choose not to
sell, your item(s) will be returned
in the same insured manner as
defined in our Services & Policies
section.
Does Happy Hocker Pawn take
consignments?
We will, but we prefer not to. The
difference in this price, as opposed
to selling outright would be
minimal, if any at all.
What is the difference between
the grading reports issued by the
GIA and the EGL?
The GIA Diamond Grading Report and
Diamond Dossier detail all the
individual characteristics of the
diamond commonly known as the Four
C’s. The Diamond Grading Report
includes a diagram of the diamond
indicating the type, size and
location of distinguishing marks
that determine its clarity grade, as
well as proportion grading. The
Diamond Dossier, which is issued for
diamonds weighing under 1 carat,
does not include a diagram, but does
include a laser inscription
registry, which notes the unique GIA
report number that has been laser
inscribed onto the diamond. The GIA
certificate is the most widely
accepted as being the most unbiased
and accurate grading for a diamond.
Typically when a diamond has a GIA
certificate, the diamond is worth
much more because any buyer will be
assured that the grading is
accurate.
Is a certificate the same thing
as an appraisal?
No. A diamond appraisal is the
opinion of an individual appraiser
and states his/her opinion as far as
the quality of a diamond is
concerned and also his/her opinion
as far as the dollar value for
replacing the stone. An appraisal is
useful only as a tool for the
insurance industry when a customer
needs something replaced due to
loss/theft, etc. If an appraiser
happens to have less integrity,
he/she would be more likely to
overstate the quality of his/her own
goods and understate the quality of
competitors’ goods. Appraisals are
typically far above the actual
retail cost of the diamond. A
certificate, on the other hand, is
issued by an independent laboratory
that has had one or more staff
members evaluate the stone for its
specific quality. Additionally, a
certificate contains no dollar value
whatsoever; it is simply the
assessment of the lab as to the
exact quality of the stone.
Is a GIA certified Gemologist
appraisal the same as a GIA Gem
Trade Laboratory certificate?
No. An appraisal issued by anyone
must be subject to scrutiny, whether
from a GIA trained Gemologist or
not. Any individual can get training
from GIA, for they do run gemology
courses, but these individuals do
not work for GIA or GIA Gem Trade
Labs in any way whatsoever and are
not endorsed by GIA more than the
fact that they received education
from them.
Do you buy clarity-enhanced
diamonds?
No.
Do you buy laser-drilled diamonds?
No.
What size diamonds do you buy?
We buy loose ½ carat and up, and all
sizes, if mounted in jewelry.
What if I want my original
setting back, and just want to sell
the diamond?
If you choose to sell only your
diamond and not the setting, our
skilled bench jewelers will remove
your diamond and preserve your
setting, which we will enclose with
payment.
How do I know I will get paid?
These days we live in a world of
uncertainty. However, with Happy
Hocker Pawn you can be certain that
you will be paid with lightning
speed and we have never violated any
customers. In fact, we have over
100,000 satisfied customers
throughout the U.S. and Canada.
When do I get paid?
Payment is sent immediately (same
day) upon your acceptance of our
offer(s).
Whose check do I receive?
You will receive a check from the
account of Happy Hocker Jewelry &
Loan, Inc. Payments are made in U.S.
dollars.
